Birch bark cylinder basket by Acho Dene Koe First Nation/Athabascan artist Laura Hauld of Fort Liard, Northwest Territories, Canada. This customary style of lidded basket is constructed from a birch bark body, alder retainer, and willow root lashing. The flower designs on the side and lid are created from dyed porcupine quills.
