Catlinite elbow pipe found along the Iowa River in Hardin County. Oneota, Medquakie or Iowa. Catlinite was not mined or traded until after 1200 AD. A fairly early piece noting the smaller size shape and crudely drilled holes. One small current rim chip - happened when found.
