Frank Wesson 1870 Med. Frame Pocket Rifle
The Second Type models were made with an iron frame, external push button type half cock and standard Wesson extractor which slides in a dovetail along the right side of the barrel. The rifle frame retains roughly 50% of the original nickel finish. The barrel has developed a brown patina with light pitting in areas.
The rear sight has been modified from it's original adjustable configuration to a fixed sight with a silver bladed front sight dovetailed into the tip of the barrel. While all serial numbers match (barrel, frame, grips) the pistol is missing it's matching detachable stock. Serial # 766
