Lakota Sioux T Pipe
Excellent catlinite pipe bowl from the Lakota Sioux Native American Indians. This Indian War era piece is hand carved and hand drilled from catlinite pipestone in the iconic "T" pattern showing a dark rich red to speckled pink coloring. The tall thin hand drilled bowl has dark patina and deep tobacco scent from honest age and use. The nice size piece shows a smooth cylindrical body with tall thin cylindircal pipe bowl and tapering hexagon bevelled front with diamond like tip. The piece shows well preserved condition with nice original patina showing no major damage and normal scratches from use. Museum collection number E1085.
