Full-sized Tlingit poles that could be seen on the steamship ā€œTotem Route,ā€ the Inside Passage tour that ran from Seattle to Skagway and back, were popular subjects for First Nations artists carving model poles for tourists.

This nicely carved pole was made by an anonymous, but prolific, Nuu-chah-nulth or Ditidaht artist whose work can be found in the collection of the Museum of Vancouver. 12"H x 6"W
