Quatsino Kwakwa̱ka̱ʼwakw Carved Cedar Totem
This pole is almost certainly the work of Quatsino Kwakwa̱ka̱ʼwakw artist Robert Fuller. It features a thunderbird over bear eating a salmon. Fuller was heavily influenced by fellow Quatsino maker George Nelson (1884-1969), who may have taught Fuller to carve and paint.
There is pyrography on the verso that reads “Souvenir of Ketchikan,” which indicates that the pole was sold in Alaska. Marked on back, "Souvenir from Ketchikan." 9"
