(1865-1934). November 12, 1912. Oil on canvas; 34â x 48". During Schroederâs years in Idaho, where he lived in Twin Falls, Rupert, Heybum, and Burley, he did much to encourage the development of art throughout the state. Through his paintings, he advertised the beauty of the Sawtooth Mountains and the Jackson Lake country. He worked in oil, and his specialty was landscape painting. Well listed, in Whoâs Who of Northwest Art, History of Idaho, and Magazine of Art. One of the early artists, his paintings were displayed in public buildings, banks, libraries, and museums. This comes with the original brass plaque. It was once displayed; however, weâre not sure where? Well framed.
