"Sun River Packer" by Earl Heikka bronze. Dated 1940 and signed. (1910-1941) Heikka was raised in Great Falls, Montana where he was directly exposed to the paintings and sculptures of C.M. Russell. By 1928 Heikka was considered the major sculptor with some of his subjects being the cowboys at the Gary Cooper Ranch. He is known as a sculptor and painter of western genre in the realistic style. Heikka sculptures today are highly prized and collectible. 12 1/4" x 51 1/2" x 3 1/2"
